The 6 Best Teas for Wellness & Beauty

teas for wellness and beauty

Before you think, tea is boring. Let me tell you that I consider tea to be one of the most overlooked wellness tools that we can (literally have in our cabinet). There’s literally a tea for everything. Perimenopause problems. There’s a tea (many, really) that helps to balance your hormones. Want to boost your body’s ability to detox? There’s a tea for that. There’s even a tea that acts like a natural Botox. YES. My friends. There’s a tea for everything. So I needed to share a list of my favorite teas for wellness and beauty.

Tea is amazing for wellness due to its high concentration of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. These compounds help reduce inflammation, detoxify the body, and support skin health. Basically, if you want a lit-from-within glow, go get a tea. Many teas, like green, white, and herbal etc, also contain polyphenols that protect against free radical damage, which can slow the appearance of wrinkles and crepey skin. Many teas also promote hydration, which is essential for overall health, digestion, and maintaining radiant skin.

I’m OBSESSED. And I hope you’ll be too.

Let’s dive into the teas I’m constantly pulling from the cabinet! Before you read this love letter to tea, may I suggest you grab one? Go on, treat yourself. You deserve it. Now, let's dive in.

6 Teas for Wellness and Beauty

Nettle Tea

Good for: Detox

This is my number one. I travel with it. I gift it. It’s THE tea for me. There are lots of health benefits to nettle tea, but it’s especially beneficial for women's health. Nettle tea is great for boosting your kidney and liver function, which helps your body detox. It’s high on my list of foods for glowing skin.

Shatavari Tea

Good for: Acne

This is fantastic for women in all stages. In particular, though, this is great for naturally treating hormonal skin conditions like cystic acne.

Ceremonial-grade Matcha

Good for: Cleansing energy

This tea is packed with antioxidants and provides a clean energy boost. I have this on my list of high vibrational foods.

Hibiscus Tea

Good for: wrinkles

Embrace hibiscus, known for its skin-nourishing properties—a natural Botox, if you will. It supports skin elasticity and hydration. For what it’s worth, Kirsten now considers Hibiscus Margaritas a wellness tool, too—and who am I to tell her she’s wrong?

Dandelion Tea

Good for: Flushing toxins

Rich in antioxidants, dandelion tea supports liver health. It aids in the liver detox process by enhancing bile production, promoting digestion, and flushing out toxins. So many brands sell ‘detox’ skincare, but detox is from within. Here’s a guide on my approach to detoxing. I also highly recommend pairing this lovely with a nice soak.

Black Cohosh Tea

Good for: Perimenopause/menopause

This earthy root makes an amazing tea for peri/menopausal symptoms. If you’re having hot flashes, night sweats, vertigo, and nervousness, give it a try. For more on perimenopause, give this podcast a listen and check out the insanely long list of supplements and tools we’ve tested to help with this (not so lovely) phase of life.

Where to buy?

These are the brands of teas for wellness and beauty that I trust for quality.
